Executive suites require dashboards that present corporate performance metrics at a glance. Designing dashboards for business leaders demands absolute clarity, responsive layouts, and a strong visual hierarchy.

1. The "Three-Second Rule"

An executive should understand their division's performance in under three seconds. Display critical KPIs (Revenue, Margins, Backlogs) in prominent card visual positions at the top of the dashboard, using neutral colors for normal operations and red/amber indicators only for exceptions.

2. Designing for Query Performance

Dashboard layout represents only half the challenge. Ensure underlying DAX queries are optimized, model aggregation tables are utilized, and external connections are minimized to ensure reports render in under two seconds.
